Band Biography
Dead Superstar is a heavy active rock band. Their songs are hard driving tales of life on earth packed with sexually and politically charged lyrics that hook the audience in with a melodic rock sound. Throw in an unbelievably energetic live show and Dead Superstar is primed to bring a big new rock sound to the masses.
Founded by bassist Troi Mosby and Vocalist Terence Keith (formerly of Perseverance), they knew they wanted to create something special. Their persistence and drive to create a sound that would heat up the airwaves was matched by drummer Jared Feldman, (formerly of Gone Again and Torn).
Terence and Troi had toured the US with their previous band Perseverance, Touring with Biohazard, Hatebreed, Life of Agony to name a few. They got a taste of what heavy rock success could be. Their passion was to create a hard rock sound that was heavy enough to please the hardest head banger, but harmonic enough to cross over active rock and commercial radio.
Dead Superstar began writing and rehearsing to perfect their art with a hard rock sound that was heavy, melodic and packed with controversial lyrics about the human condition. In late 2008, the band pushed forward with half a dozen of their best songs.
In the spring of 2009, under the inspired guidance of producer Joey Z (Life of Agony,Stereomud). The band entered Method of Groove Studios in Brooklyn NY to record "Tribulations". Sept 2010 producer Corey Lowery (EYE EMPIRE,Dark New Day, Stereomud, Stuck Mojo),mixed and produced "Tribulations”. Packed with 11 pounding, melodic & heavy anthems; Powerful vocals, blistering guitars, thundering bass and grooving beats produce the eclectic heavy rock sound that screams out your speakers.
Dead Superstar has been none stop touring, sharing the stage with notable rock icons like Five Finger Death Punch, Drowning Pool, Powerman 5000, Cold, Taproot, Bobaflex, Lacuna Coil and more. Now in the fall of 2010 Dead Superstar has welcomed new lead guitarist, Todd Bowes, former member of (Dared the Knot and Ex Machina). Todd relocated from the state of Massachusetts to Westchester, NY looking for opportunity in the NYC music scene. Todd has found his home with Dead Superstar.
